Raploch URC and its trading subsidiary Stirling Community Enterprise Limited, together as a social enterprise provide the people of Stirling with the skills and support necessary to engage in education, training, and employment opportunities.

Stirling Community Enterprise is a community-based employability skills and training provider that works to support and empower people facing multiple barriers to employment. Their mission is to help people who experience inequality to feel empowered while on their journey to employment through the delivery of holistic and supportive education and employability services.

SCE implement this through person centred support in areas such as physical and mental health, addiction, and offending. They dedicate their time to supporting people to overcome challenges that are affecting their chances of securing and sustaining employment. While respecting that no journey is the same and that the time and challenges to secure employment can vary dramatically, SCE create pathways to enhance training and employment with the aim to help people realise their potential and to connect them with the next steps of their journey.

SCE are currently looking to expand their board and are recruiting for Trustees who align with the organisation’s values: respect, honesty, trust & transparency.

They are looking for board members from backgrounds in finance, charity leadership and governance. Board experience is essential for this role. The current board is well experienced in the third sector, therefore experience within the sector would be beneficial to this role however corporate board experience will also be considered.

If you are interested in contributing to supporting vulnerable groups to live better lives, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.
