Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home (EDCH) has been a safe haven to stray animals across Edinburgh and the Lothians since 1883. It rescues over 1,000 lost or abandoned dogs and cats every year.
While its animals wait patiently for their new owner to walk through the door, EDCH provides essential veterinary care, food, shelter and lots of love. The Home receives no government or Lottery funding and with running costs of almost £3,000 per day, it is hugely reliant on fundraising. EDCH is now looking for a Fundraiser with corporate or corporate events experience to help it achieve its ambitious fundraising targets. It would also like to hear from junior level fundraisers who have the drive and ambition to step into this role.
It is an exciting time to join the team, with the recruitment of a new Senior Management Team in 2016 and the development of a new strategic plan which aims to see a doubling of income over the next 5 years.
Working with the Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will be responsible for proactively developing fundraising opportunities from new and existing sources. You will research, apply, pitch for and steward all corporate partnerships as well as introduce a calendar of corporate events.
